What a classy day Monday the 5th of August was! We began a new tradition at CCB involving collared shirts, ties, delicious food and our campers favorite-dancing with the ladies of Keystone, Keystone… It is called “Stay Classy CCB.”
The boys were given 30 minutes to shower and select only their finest outfits before heading up to the transformed dining hall which was decked out with white table cloths, candle light and napkins with some very sophisticated background music playing. The boys were then given sequined ties and CCB dollar bills to tip their waiters for the evening. The boys counselors were transformed into the waiters and served their campers meals and fine fruit punch. The meals consisted of a fresh garden salad, bread rolls, roasted fingerlings potatoes, CCBeans, couscous stuffed tomatoes and the star of the meal- Gentleman’s Steak with mushroom sauce. The delicious meal was finished with a delightful trifle!
Then the ladies arrived! They showed up in their finest ball gowns and their best dancing shoes for the evening. We spent two hours dancing to all types of tunes, eating cookies and sipping on lemon water. We love introducing new traditions like this one and cannot wait for summer 2014 for “Stay Classy CCB” session 1,2 and 3!
