What a Week at Camp Carolina!

We can’t believe we have finished week 2! That means half way for our Main Session Campers and the last day for our Intro 2 boys… Either way week 2 has been incredible.

The boys have now tried their hand at 2 weeks worth of in camp activities (that’s 10 activities in total) plus signed up for multiple training clinics and trips out of camp with our well-trained tripping staff members. They are/have established favorite activities and favorite trips and are really beginning to progress and develop their skills. It’s always exciting when a campers Mom or Dad picks their son up on closing day and hears from their happy camper how over the past few weeks he has become an accomplished kayaker, horse rider, musician, soccer player etc, etc, etc!

This week we have had approximately 45 trips out of camp. That’s a lot of trips! We have taken the boys to Dupont Forest to go mountain boarding, horse riding, mountain biking and hiking. There have also been trips out to Pisgah Forest to go hiking, fly fishing and swimming. The boys have also been taken out to various locations to rock climb, sea kayak, cave, white water raft, wake board, out to Charleston to surf and paintballing in Asheville. The boys have also been perfecting their skills with their daily in camp activities and have made some impressive progressions!
