2011 was an exciting summer, as it was the year the old wooden chariot was rediscovered! It was used for the end of session olympics, but the “horses” towing the chariot were not happy with the bulky and “hard to turn” design and so a challenge was set to head of vehicle maintenance Trent. Trent who is in charge of making sure all the vehicles and trailers are in 100% working order so the campers can head out of camp on one of the many daily trips has spent his rainy days replacing the 1980 wooden boom with a sleek and ergonomically designed carrying yoke. I’m sure the future “horses” of the chariot will be very thankful when dragging the torch-bearer around the lake.
We all know that Jimbo in particular is very excited!
