People of Camp Carolina and surrounding areas were treated to a fantastic fall weekend of clear skies and warm days making it the perfect weekend to get out and about and enjoy everything this fantastic region has to offer. Phil and Kylie had an early start to their Saturday morning, heading up through Pisgah Forest to the Blue Ridge Parkway to watch the sunrise (with 20 other locals!). The mountains are almost in peak colour with the sky being crystal clear making the view second to none. A delicious breakfast at the Pisgah Inn and a quick visit to camp hotspots, Sliding Rock and Looking Glass falls completed the perfect morning.

CCB also had a special guest visiting for the weekend,super-newtHenry Casson! Henry and best friend Elvis had a fantastic weekend enjoying the sunshine at camp and having epic monopoly battles with Simone. We are really looking forward to going for a ride up Bulldozer mountain on Tues afternoon! Maintenance Mike supported the opening of several seasonal mountain bike trails in Pisgah Forest by supplying delicious burgers and cookies at “The Hub, Backcountry Outdoors” with his partner while Camp Carolina donated their bike trailer for the shuttle runs. Head of maintenance Greg spent his Saturday riding the recently opened Pisgah Mountain Bike trails.
Meanwhile Alfred flew out to Texas for the SawyersPizza Party in Houston. He had a fantastic night with Newt Emery, who is very excited for summer 2012! Alfred is heading to the Henry’s house for the last of the Texas shows tomorrow night. Details are below…
