This morning it was the turn of 9 intrepid Newts to head out to the gnarly mountain biking trails at Tom’s Cemetery. Proceedings began with a brief but vital safety talk, explaining how to use the gears on the bikes, braking and hill climbing techniques. After that it was time to start the serious fun!
Things started out relatively easily, a good warm up before we hit the more challenging climbs and descents of the trail. With all of us safely through and no (major) spillages we were now free to have a try on the Kids Play Loop. This separate section offered a variety of challenging obstacles to navigate over, such as see-saws and raised logs.
Time was up far too soon though for our bunch of trailblazers who were sad to say goodbye to their bikes, having clearly been bitten by the mountain biking bug.
